FAQs
The patio Bi-Fold door is the wide glass door that leads to the backyard.
There are 2 parts of the Bi-Fold Door:
1) The Traffic Door which is the panel closest to the kitchen and
2) The Folding Door Section which are the 3 Panels furthest from the kitchen.
The traffic door opens and swings toward the pool. To open the traffic door twist the handle down and open it toward the pool. In order for the traffic door to function properly, all 3 panels of the folding door section must be completely locked in. If the folding doors are not completely locked in, the traffic door will get stuck.
When standing inside the house and facing the bifold doors you will see 2 locking levers on the Folding Door Section. These locking levers must be pointing completely straight down for all 3 panels to be locked. To ensure they are locked, twist the handle to the left, pull the handle toward you and twist down the handle so it is pointing straight down to lock in the door panels.
To open all the doors YOU MUST START by opening the traffic door first, otherwise you will damage the door. Once the traffic door is open and you are standing inside the house, locate the the 2 locking levers on the Folding Door Section. Start with the locking lever closest to the kitchen and twist the lever left to open the first door panel. Once this panel is open, do the same with the second locking lever to open the remaining 2 panels. To close the panels lock the levers back in the track in reverse order by locking the levers from left to right. When locking be sure that the lever is pointing completely straight down. If the lever is even slightly pointed to the left, open the lever back up, pull the handle toward you to make sure the door is fully in the track and twist the lever down to lock.
